Stars get skates on

NOT satisfied with second-tier celebrities getting fit or joining the circus, Channel 9 has launched its latest foray in the reality genre: Skating on Thin Ice.The show teaches nine B- and C-grade celebrities to ice-skate.
Nine is remaining tight-lipped on the show, and there is no word whether Skating on Thin Ice will follow the competitive edge of Channel 7's Dancing With the Stars.
Skating on Thin Ice "stars" Queensland's David Whitehill from Hot Source, model Imogen Bailey, singer Deni Hines, former host of Funniest Home Videos Kim Kilbey, comedian Vince Sorrenti, musician James Blundell, former Miss World Belinda Green, Big Brother winner Reggie Bird and celebrity interior decorator Peter Everett.
"The Ice Queen" Sue Brody will critique the skating while Jamie Durie is the host.
The celebrities started ice-skating camp yesterday, with the show to air in early July.
While the reality format is still working in Australia, interest in celebrity shows is starting to wane in the UK.
iTV's Celebrity Love Island was given a roasting by critics and Celebrity Wrestling was axed.
