HE climbed the ladder of fame to become a celebrity gardener turned ice-skater, but Jamie Durie's Manpower days have now been immortalised forever."High art" (read: nude) magazine Black and White this week launched a book featuring 100 celebs who have gone bare for the mag since its inception 14 years ago.

And whether it's his waxed-and-axed body or long hair, neanderthal Durie, circa 1995, is undoubtedly one of the book's starring shots.

These days a cheesier Durie can be found stacking it on new series Skating on Thin Ice, but 10 years ago he preferred cavorting in a G-string as part of the male strip group, Manpower.

Durie joins an extensive list of Aussie heart-throbs, including Marcus Graham, Alex Dimitriades and Adam Garcia in the book's "Starlust" spread.
Glamour girls Naomi Watts, Megan Gale, Dannii Minogue and Tara Moss also appear, but there are some interesting omissions from the high-profile list of those who pose nude.

A number of big names have apparently turned down the chance to bare-all in the mag over the years, top of the list being Ian Thorpe.

Seems a bit odd for a guy who has spent his whole life in a pair of speedos, but Thorpie is apparently more modest than he is given credit for.
Pop princess Holly Valance didn't mind getting it all off in 2002 for her videoclip Kiss Kiss, but similarly refused to pose for Black and White.
Former Inside Sport pin-up Jodhi Packer and beach babes Bec Cartwright and Jennifer Hawkins also gave it the big thumbs-down.
